Seattle. Portland. Pacific North West. Damn it I love you guys. You guys are nuts. Yes we have Long Beach, Irwindale and even Road Atlanta to some extent but when it comes to fans and sheer passion for the sport, the North West has everyone beat. I don't even think there should be a Pro-Am in Seattle, just drivers that can whoop some ass on a regular basis. It's that intense. And you media / photographer / videographer guys. You take it to another level and not just on pumping out gangster footage, but being some of the coolest people to hang out with. It's like a big family reunion and somehow a drift competition got thrown in the mix.

And yes, it was a damn good competition.

Jeremy Lowe defeated Justin Pawlak after a long, and ridiculously pointless "deliberation" by the judges. The two Dai's didn't make it to the podium while Ken Gushi battled hard and just missed out on that carbon fiber trophy. Couldn't get used to seeing Chelsea DeNofa in Joon Maeng's old RX-8 but he gave that rotary a beating. Most drivers could get six or seven runs off a set of tires, Chelsea maxed out at two runs. Vaughn Gittin Jr. finally getting back on form taking his second win in a row. Ryan Tuerck, the legendary tire slayer and Rhys Millen, stunt driver extraordinare both getting well deserved podium spots. And of course having the entire Evergreen stadium sing happy birthday to our friend Matt Powers. Dope.

Seattle you guys are awesome. Sunshine and rain; Will Ferrell and Zak Galifianakis; a Space Needle and random ferris wheel; a burger spot named Dick's and drive through coffee stand with a half naked chick inside. We'll see you soon.
