The popularity of the Subaru Impreza has been insane over the past few years as demonstrated by the plethora of cars entered in car shows and competitions. Being a Subaru enthusiast myself, I can say I have seen my fair share of Impreza's over the years but this '04 STI definitely stands out amongst the crowd. Bought in 2003, Jackson Lam has transformed a rather “basic” looking Subaru Impreza STI into the beauty you see before you.

The most noticeable aspect of this car is most definitely the aggressive front end. It may not appeal to everyone, however it screams for attention which it certainly deserves. Stock headlights were swapped out and replaced with JDM headlights and JDM side markers were also installed to give a clean look.

A ZeroSports front bumper dominates the face of the vehicle and suggests for you to pull over if you see it in your rearview mirror. As if THAT was not menacing by itself, Jackson also had a STI V-Limited front lip custom fitted to the bottom of the bumper after being inspired by the black front splitter on the ZeroSports time attack car. The ZeroSports theme continues with a pair of side skirts and a 3D wing garnish.

The engine remains relatively untouched however; a carefully chosen STI Genome exhaust amplifies the distinct boxer rumble without being overbearing.

The envy of most Subaru owners must be due to the installation of these rare STI Spec-C type RA-R black bucket seats.

Completing the look of the STI is a set of Prodrive GC-010E 18”x8” wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Pole Position tires. The classic world rally blue body and gold wheel combination is accented perfectly with a set of RAYS blue lug nuts. Prodrive coilovers were also installed to deliver the performance handling that was needed on Jackson's autocross days.

It is not often that you see such a unique combination of aesthetics and performance parts on a 2004 STI and this is an excellent example. Jackson has since sold this beauty to a lucky owner but it will be forever remembered in these photos.
