Aloha Intuned Readers, this week we’re in the land of surf and volcanoes to feature a peerless Acura TSX. Drew’s CL9 caught our attention immediately with its low stance and catalog of Mugen parts but Hawaii has a strange way of making everything beautiful.
As some of you may know I’m a bit of a Mugen enthusiast myself so spotting those parts came easily to me. The under spoiler kit is a perfect match to the already dominant body lines of the car which is topped off with the Mugen rear spoiler and Spoon Carbon Fiber Hood. The remainder of the exterior got a face lift with the JDM Euro Accord counterpart headlights, taillights, grills and trim. After growing up in Montreal; a city where they make pot holes to give the roads additional character we were surprised to see Drew’s car sitting so that it’s almost scraping the road underneath it. Drew enlightened us to his custom air runner suspension which drops the body down on the Volk wheels. Since studying the Mugen catalog religiously, I know that there are no Mugen brakes for the TSX yet. However Drew made a great choice in upgrading to Endless 6-Pot aluminum calipers that would stop the purest race car on a dime. The high end JDM feel was spread out all over exterior of the car which carried into the interior which hosted a variety of accessories from Mugen and Junction Produce. This car has it all from top to bottom and since it’s so indescribable we’ll just call it the Dakine CL9.

hi there drew seen the pics of your tsx, the car is proper loaded. Want your advice. Iam from england uk i have the same car as yours same colour only over here its called the HONDA ACCORD . I recently lowered my car on Eibach lowering springs, front is lowered by 35 to 40mm rear is 35mm. To do the car justice i want to fit on some wheelmania alloys called MONACO PLATINUM 19*8.5 all round, will they catch the arches? or as you guys in the states would say ‘WILL THEY CATCH THE FENDERS’. Could do with your advice
