Paris Tuning and Racing show

Although this might be new to most, The Paris Tuning Show which is now known as The Paris Tuning & Racing Show has celebrated its 10 year anniversary.
Since there were no major tuning events around Paris, this event was specifically created in 1998 to fill up that need. The PTRS is the first official show to start the French tuner season. On this occasion, professionals and amateurs exposed their newest projects.
This year, professionals have really pushed the limits to another step with impressive projects. Although Alpine and Mercedes audio concept cars might already be familiar to you, Pioneer also brought a lot of attention with more than 4 projects which included a magnificent Mini Cooper S Pick Up.
A new race-breed base car was noticed at the scene. Of course we are talking about the new Audi TT. Of the many people who showcased their TTs, a well known car paintshop Carizzmac brought a total of 4 projects on the Audi.
Another new company that has made a strong impression was Ballistik. They offer high-end wheels of outstanding quality! Their Audi R8 show car represented the company’s name pretty well!
This year’s edition should have been an opportunity to steer the show towards racing but much to our dismay, racing cars were lacking at the show. However, DM Performance stood out of the crowd with their BMW, which was a surprise to many. Another one was the RAJ stand. They had one of the rare French Skyline driven by a woman, Audrey, the only French female drifter!
Regarding amateurs, the car selections was not really the of the best taste but a few projects have actually made a difference with their homogeneity and their unique style (Opel Astra Racing, Renault Scenic in 20 inches, Del Sol on airsusp, and so on).
About manufacturers, the French industry is a little slow, but considering that it is only the second year, Mazda already accepted to be part of the show. Last year, a RX8 prepared by the ProRider Team caused quite a sensation. This year they handed the showstopper to the new SUV CX7. Not to mention, Renault was also at the scene introducing their sport range cars.
And finally, we`ve noticed that the Custom scene has made its comeback with quite a few interesting modified cars.
What could we want for next year? Perhaps, better sections for the amateurs competition and the return of the most influencial players of the French street racing scene could help Paris Tuning become a real “Paris Tuning & Racing”Show.

Et c’est vraique les “tuners” français n’ont pas la même définition du Tuning qu’aux US ou au Canada, mais je vais bientôt vous prouver que nous aussi on sait y faire
Peace!
