RJ Racing saying hello

25 Nov, 2011

Hello from RJ Racing,
RJ Racing is a professional racing team from Santa Ana, California, founded in 2005 by Rob Gibson and John Gibson. After six years in competition the team has amassed an impressive record of success in both regional and national competition. The team has won three regional championships in sprint and endurance racing and one national sprint race championship.

From its dedicated race shop the team of ten runs and maintains its Mazda Miata MX-5. RJ Racing has developed from a few dedicated individuals with a streetcar to a professional team and dedicate racing machine. The team runs in the North American Sports Car Association [NASA] performance touring “E” sprint series and the Western Endurance Regional Championship [WERC] races.

2011 marked an expansion of the team with five new crew members joining the team to fill out ranks of engineers and marketing staff. RJ Racing brought in local Cal State University students as crewmembers to give them hands on experience in the world of racing.

The 2011 season has been a successful one, with 9 podium finishes and 3 wins. In the WERC series the team has either won or finished in every race we’ve entered.

RJ Racing continues to push its self as it prepares to finish off the season with the grueling 25hours of Thunderhill, the longest race of the year that places a premium on preparation and focus. The race places the best amateur teams against a collection of pro teams and the unpredictable weather of Willows, California in December.

RJ Racing will be providing coverage the 25hours for intunedonline as well through the teams facebook.com/rj.racing
