The MOTEGI GT 250 KM Race, Round 8 (final round) of the 2011 AUTOBACS SUPER GT, took place at the Twin Ring Motegi (lap = 4.801 km x 53 laps) in Tochigi Pref. on Oct. 16. Race day was the hottest yet in this race weekend at Sepang. By the time the formation lap started at 16:00, the heat had passed its peak and the skies were increasingly cloudy but it was still a hot 34 degrees C. with a 43-degree track surface temperature. When the official start was signaled after the formation lap, it was the pole-sitting No.1 Weider HSV-010 (Loic Duval) that got the hole shot.

Race day at Okayama Circuit saw heavy rain showers from early morning, but the weather began to improve suddenly from around 9:00 am, and by the time of the start the skies were clearing. The formation lap began at 2:00 in the afternoon with an air temperature of 23 degrees C. and a track surface temperature of 29 degrees C.
