Ter-Tech at Moroso – Drift event

Ter-Tech Incorporated held an NOPI licensed drift event at Moroso Motorsports Park on February 16, 2008. All the top drifters in Florida showed up to get a shot at a Nopi Provisional license for the 2008 NOPI Drift season, so everyone was on top of their game.
The event not only gave an opportunity to aspiring pro drivers, but also for beginners to hone their skills. The field was broken down in two sections, the go-kart track for beginner drivers, which followed very technical yet low speed line offering a more challenge for those trying to better their skills. For the NOPI licensing segment was the road course, which consisted of 60-70 mph entry speeds. All the big names from South Florida were in attendance along with great drivers from the central and western side of the state.
After a long and humid night of drifting, South Florida drivers came out big, winning all top three podium finishes! Team Aero-K’s Ryan Kaufman piloting an 99 Miata MX-5 came out with the number one spot along with teammate Shant Karakouzian who ended up in third place. Also Estie Falero of S.M.D.G (Side Mission Dori Gang) got the number two spot of the night, both Ryan and Estie left the event with NOPI provisional licenses. Watch out for these drivers in the upcoming NOPI Drift season, as they’ll be out there showing what South Florida drifting is all about.
In conclusion, Ter-Tech held a very organized and exciting event, giving two of South Florida’s best drivers an opportunity to get recognition for their skills in the upcoming NOPI season. Along with great practice and seat time for those new to the sport.
