Karen Kai was born and raised in New York City. A true Pisces, you can say Karen can be described as sweet, genuine and quirky. She can easily be one of the most down-to-earth girls you’ll ever meet, one who can even be slightly shy at times. Surrounded by friends who enjoy import tuning and have a love for showing off their prized possessions, attending car shows became just another weekend thing. It was always fun for her to spend time with friends and help prep their cars for judging. Karen would’ve never guessed that after a few car shows, she would somehow fall into the world of import modeling.
Karen Kai’s transformation from the shy girl behind the scenes to the sexy model in front of the camera seem to have happened overnight, as it’s impossible to remember a time when she wasn’t a part of the import industry. Karen has been featured on several websites, such as Pure Hot Models, Car and Model, Urban Racer and Carbon8mag, just to name a few. And now she’s ecstatic to add IntunedOnline to her list. She was also the featured model of the StreetGlow Ad campaign and can be found in magazines such as Performance Auto and Sound. As an Official Umbrella Girl at Formula Drift, Karen fell in love with drifting. She’ll never forget the initial rush of sitting in a drift car for the very first time.
If you asked Karen what are some “must-have” characteristics she looks for, she’ll easily tell you sincerity, intelligence and a sense of humor. Whenever she has free time outside of modeling, she loves video games, shopping and reading; definitely a quintessential girlie-girl with a tomboyish side.
