Wednesday and Thursday Update
Sometimes getting to the race can be harder then the race itself. RJ racing was greeted with high winds and a tire failure on the way to track. These minor delays did nothing to dampen the team’s spirits heading into the race.
Wednesday is the start of the 25hour weekend. The team lined up outside the gates of Thunderhill Raceway Park and waited to be allowed into the paddock at 5pm. Even after parking the team had to battle the high winds as the day turned to night. The wind was throwing tents, awnings and RVs around the paddock. Mother Nature made her presence felt… but at least it wasn’t raining!

Thursday is the first of two test days for the 25 Hours. The plan for the morning sessions was to get the team reacquainted with the track and bed in the Porterfield brakes, Exedy clutch while scrubbing in fresh Hoosier tires.

The afternoon session was the first chance for the team to have their complete driver line up in one place. RJ Racing’s regular drivers are Rob Gibson and John Gibson joined by returning driver Jamie Florence and first-time RJ Racing drivers Craig Evans and Johnny Kanavas.
